Vilagarcía Port enjoys a privileged location in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, in the geographic centre of the Galician Atlantic axis.

The Port avails of a direct link to the AP9 –Atlantic Motorway, which connects Galicia from north to south. Vía the AP9 it is possible to access the Rías Baixas motorway (non-tolled), which facilitates the transport of goods to the interior of the Iberian Peninsula. The link to the AP9 also provides a connection with O Salnés high capacity motorway and Vilagarcía northern ring road.
The port has its own railway track, which connects to the national transport network managed by ADIF. The Port inner railwork network is available from all quays in the port area, thanks to the works for the Extension of the Railway to Ferrazo Dock (phases 1 and 2), that required and investiment of 6.5 million euros (vat excluded).
Equally, Vilagarcía port´s nearness to both Santiago and Vigo airports favours any type of goods transfers around the world, even to the remotest places.
