The excellent sailing conditions of the Arousa Estuary and the services offered make it possible to practice nautical sports 365 days a year.

The facilities of the Port of Vilagarcía dedicated to recreational boating are managed by Marina Vilagarcía. The marina currently has 435 moorings, located in port basin number 1, a privileged and fully integrated area in the urban centre, specifically between the O Ramal and the Pasajeros dock.

Centro Galego de Vela

In marina surroundings, visitors can enjoy A Concha-Compostela beach and promenade, a recreational area attached to the marina, O Centenario and Miguel Hernández parks, as well as green spaces and children's leisure spaces, bike path, auditorium, cinemas and restaurants.

In addition, in the Port itself there is also the Galician Sailing Centre, a benchmark infrastructure at the national level for the training of sailors, both in Olympic specialities and in the children's and youth categories. The headquarters of the Centro Galego de Vela is located on the O Cavadelo ramp and benefits from the shelter from its waters and its favourable conditions for continuous activity all year round.

Another one of the complementary services available from the Port is diving in the Arousa Estuary. Taking as a starting point the Pasaxeiros dock, the user will be able to get to know the fascinating underwater world of Arousa.
